Crisis looms in Mbulu Owo Community of Enugu State as concerned citizens petition Governor Ugwuanyi over misrule by their traditional ruler, Igwe Godwin Okeke Arum
The petition reads:
His Excellency,
Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi
Executive Governor, Enugu State.
Sir,
PETITION AND SAVE OUR SOULS (SOS) LETTER AGAINST THE INCESSANT DEHUMANIZATION OF PERSON, SALE OF COMMUNITY LANDS, SEIZURE & CONVERSION OF PEOPLE’S LANDS AND OTHER RESOURCES, ABUSE OF OFFICE, HARASSMENT AND TORTURE OF POOR INDIGENES AND ACUTE HIGH HANDEDNESS BY OUR TRADITIONAL RULER HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS, IGWE GODWIN OKEKE ARUM OF MBULU OWO AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY, NKANU EAST LGA, ENUGU STATE.
We the concerned citizens of Mbulu Owo Autonomous Community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State do hereby formally bring to your notice a formal PETITION AND SAVE OUR SOUL (SOS) letter the brutish, autocratic high handed nature of leadership meted out on us by our Traditional Ruler H.R.H Igwe Godwin Okeke Arum in the following light before he kills all of us and take over all land and resources belonging to the community and personal belonging of citizens.
1. The coronation of H.R.H Igwe Okeke Godwin Arum on 28/11/2008 was from the outset thought to be a source of blessing to our beloved community ( The Mbulu Owo Community) in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State but however the reverse became the case from the first day of his assumption on the said office till date.
2. For the natives who would muster the courage to challenge his misdeeds but with lesser or no financial muscles, the suspect would resort to drawing of false, grievous and unwarranted petition to the Police Force alleging them to be armed robbers and assassins, the last example of which his last petition that he wrote to the Police which led to arrest of our 5 youths anti-cult & anti-kidnapping on the 23rd day of August, 2019 and almost at the intervention of the Commissioner of Police and other well-meaning citizens they were released on 19th day of February, 2020, after about 6 months in illegal detention.
Thank God for the Commissioner of Police and the State Judiciary this saw their detention as illegal, unwarranted and gross abuse of fundamental Human Rights of those youths. Their names are:
1. Tochukwu Amowo , 2. Ezekiel Njoku Jnr, 3. Chukwuemeka Nwode, 4. Obum Okoye, 5. Emeka Okoro etc.
3. Igwe Arum is still pursuing several others those he claims are not loyal to him, those who refuse to be used as his village thugs and those who dare ask him questions of his wrong doing and handedness in the community such as Ifeanyi Okereke, Tochukwu Aniowo, Sunday Igwe, Emma Njoku , Ezekiel Njoku Jnr, Chukwuemeka Okoro etc.
4. Please note that Igwe Arum recently sold 60 plots of land at the rate of #600,000 Naira each plot totaling 36,000,000 million Naira from a community owned land know as Mbulu Owo Community site recovered from Mr. peter Okoye’s family from Anambra without consultation with stakeholders. He had earlier sold 10 plot and 5 plots of land respectively and he used the from the sales to personally enriched himself and alsocaused and sponsor troubles and haras and intimidate the poor and vulnerable indigenes of Mbulu-Owo Community.
5. For over a period of 10 years running, Igwe Arum has been harvesting sharp sand from idodo River, timber woods from our forests and other families farm lands using brutal force, intimidations and various degrees of threats. He is also harvesting Bamboo sticks, stones and other mineral resources and uses the monies legalized for his personal gains without carrying the members of the community along or remitting money to the government.
6. Igwe Arum has for a long time now been selling out both the communal lands and individual /family lands of the natives of Mbulu Owo without the consents of the member of the community and some of the families currently under his threat of being killed if they report to any quarter or go to any enforcement agents are the: Okorie Ega’s family, Nshoke Nwa Ewamba family, Ogbachi Nnamani’s family just to mention a few.
7. Igwe Arum has mandated that any sale of all personal lands or family land in Mbulu Owo must be through him and ordered that the sum of one hundred thousand Naira (#100,000) must be given to him from each plot of land sold by the sellers and the buyers and all these have been going on for the past 7 years despite agitations and complains.
Mbulu Owo Community states that Igwe Arum in order to enhance his despotic leadership has set up a torture group known as Royal Palace Guards, RPG, which he uses at will to deal with any dissenting voice in the area.
In the petition signed by concerned citizens of the community, a copy which was made available to Newsnow urged Governor Ugwuanyi to set up a panel of inquiry in order to avert the looming disaster. .

NAF SUCCESSFULLY REACTIVATES 12 OPERATIONAL SUPPORT EQUIPMENT AS CAS COMMISSIONS PROJECTS, DELIVERS STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP LECTURE TO PARTICIPANTS OF COURSE 6 AFWC MAKURDI.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is continually striving for high serviceability rates of its aircraft and associated equipment, whilst conserving foreign exchange by enhancing in-country maintenance capabilities, to enable it effectively project Air Power in response to Nigeria’s national security imperatives. Pursuant to this strategic outlook, the NAF has successfully reactivated 12 units of previously moribund Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE). The repaired equipment include 6 x Jaguar aircraft Ground Power Units (GPUs), one Eagle towing vehicle for Headquarters Air Task Force Maiduguri, one GPU for 115 Special Operations Group (115 SOG), Port Harcourt and another GPU for 305 Special Mobility Group (305 SMG), Calabar. Others include one 15-ton Henley forklift, one 3.6-Ton UNIMOG crane and a Jaguar aircraft hydraulic cart. The equipment, which were reactivated locally by 131 Engineering Group (131 Engr Gp) Makurdi, through the Unit’s Research and Development (R& ) efforts, were commissioned today, 23 September 2020, by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.
While in Makurdi, the CAS also commissioned a newly reactivated One Million litre Bulk Fuel Installation (BFI) Facility, which had been upgraded with additional functional and safety features, including an automatic sprinkler system for enhanced fire safety. The CAS equally unveiled Fire Tender and Runway Sweeper vehicles reactivated by the 101 Air Defence Group (101 ADG) and inspected ongoing R& projects, including a handheld single rocket launcher and 6-tube rocket launcher, being jointly executed by the 131 Engr Group and the 633 Central Armament Depot (633 CAD) Makurdi before commissioning a newly constructed Runway Supervision Unit (RSU) at the Makurdi Airfield.
Speaking during the commissioning and functional demonstration of the reactivated equipment, a visibly delighted CAS, stated that he was excited with what had been achieved by 131 Engr Gp. He said it had always been his belief that, with a bit of effort, most of what may have been discarded as Beyond Economic Repair (BER) could be brought back to serviceable status. According to him, “at this time of scarcity of resources and increased competition for those scarce resources, the best we can have is what we have witnessed here today”. He expressed excitement that some of the equipment would be deployed to the North East and other conflict areas to support the conduct of air operations. He further noted that the local reactivation of the equipment had saved the NAF, and indeed the Nation, huge amounts of foreign exchange, which ordinarily would need to be sourced to buy such equipment from abroad. He added that the NAF would continue to leverage R& as well as innovative technologies to enhance its operations, while continuing to seek collaborative partnerships. Air Marshal Abubakar therefore commended the Commander 131 Engr Gp, Air Commodore Pam Chollom, and all personnel of the Unit for their hard work and dedication to duty. While encouraging other Units to take a queue from 131 Engr Gp, the CAS also applauded the Air Officer Commanding Tactical Air Command (AOC TAC), Air Vice Marshal Olusegun Philip, for his leadership in ensuring the realization of the various accomplishments.
In his welcome remarks, the AOC TAC stated that the event was a landmark occasion and a manifestation of the sterling leadership qualities of the CAS, which had been the major motivation for the achievements recorded by the Command. The reactivation of the equipment, he noted, would add value to the NAF’s maintenance efforts not only in Makurdi but also in other NAF Units across the Country as the equipment would come in handy for the conduct of maintenance activities on the F/FT-7Ni aircraft and the soon to be inducted JF-17 Thunder multi-role fighter aircraft. The AOC appreciated the unwavering support of the CAS to Units under TAC and also commended the Commander 131 Engr Gp and his personnel for their hardwork and dedication to duty, while encouraging them to not to rest on their oars.
Earlier on, the CAS had delivered a lecture to participants of Course 6 of the Air Force War College (AFWC) in Makurdi, as part of the Strategic Leadership Module of the Course. In the lecture, titled “Nigerian Air Force Operational Challenges and Future Prospects”, Air Marshal Abubakar highlighted the achievements of the NAF in the past 5 years in areas of expansion of its organizational structure, comprehensive human capacity development, aircraft acquisition and maintenance as well as robust logistics support and R& . The CAS also highlighted some of the operational challenges encountered while enumerating strategies to overcome them and discussing future prospects.
The AFWC was established in 2016 to develop the capacity of senior officers of the rank of Wing Commander and equivalent in the effective employment of Air Power and efficient utilization of Air Power concepts and strategy while preparing them for higher leadership positions.

Kemi Olunloyo has been covering the marriage break up from the moment the news hit the internet last week.
#FFKCase Prisca Nduka is the sister to Precious Fani-Kayode. She wrote the viral FB post. Her marriage to an alleged swindler crashed, her husband left her for Swaziland. FFK paid for their wedding out of love for Precious. Prisca once told their late mom “I will rather you die”
#FFKCase Prisca would rather have their mom die than live with Precious meaning under FFK’s care and roof. They insult their uncle’s, aunties and even grandparents. FFK paid for the funeral of their mom and dad. Femi basically “bankrolled” their entire family.
#FFKCase Precious was getting vast amounts of money monthly from her husband. She wanted an open marriage. She had two knife incidents, one at everyone and the other a friend who was visiting. She attacked and beat security guards, maids and other staff. Many quit and left.
#FFKCase When Precious’ father died, FFK paid for all expenses including ambulance, mortuary etc. Prisca insulted the mortuary driver that he threatened to drop their father’s body at a petrol station unless they APOLOGIZE. Both sisters pocketed the funeral expenses and got more
#FFKCase A source told me Precious was dating 2 men b4 Femi started courting her. Ike Ogbonna a Nollywood star who she described as a “homosexual and rogue who BEAT her.” She destroyed her former boss George ruining his business financially and allegedly supporting Ogbonna with.
#FFKCase I’ve never known Ik Ogbonna as a gay man and once interviewed him this year. Precious reportedly said she wasn’t having good sex with him and thus started cheating with her boss George who she eventually allegedly stole his money ruining his business says my source.
#FFKCase Precious Fani-Kayode has a sad sad past before FFK marriage. She told her friends that her dad pimped her to her uncle at the age of 16/17yo in Onitsha as a sex slave and it affected her psychologically. Her friends attribute that to her psychological problem with FFK
#FFKCase Precious was once raped by a man in Lagos in another uncle’s house. She lived thru years of sexual abuse but friends say Fani-Kayode protected her doing so much for her to improve her life. Due to her mom’s health, she raised her own siblings with money from
prostitution
#FFKCase Precious shared a lot with friends, family and staff who are all sharing this info to me now to set the record straight. Femi was reportedly covering up Precious’ mental status. Prisca her sister has provoked a lot of people by her allegations of abuse by Femi
#FFKCase Friends say Precious was seeing a psychiatrist before meeting Femi. They also told me that she was “sleeping” with another man while FFK was in EFCC detention. The extramarital man said he did not know she was married.
